I think that the #1 reason why most people fail to make money online is indecision!
OK, why are you indecisive?
- You might be indecisive because you are intimidated by the all the technichal stuff .
- You might be indecisive because of the cost to learn the steps. ( Yes, it does cost both time and money to learn how to succeed online, but college costs time and money too.)
- Maybe you just don’t know where to go or who to talk to about earning a living online , who can you trust nowadays?
Okay, let me start over. Maybe you’ve been working at your JOB , the surest way to pay for that rent, electric bill, TV/internet subscriptions, food, car, etc. Then one day you start surfing the net, looking for a better way, and get bombarded with people making millions of dollars just by working on the internet , right from the comfort of their own home .
You are pulled in and try what the program asks you to do, but what the heck are they asking you to do? Keywords… Websites… Search Engines… Social Marketing… Blogs?
What in the heck is all that stuff???
You decide to try the old fashioned way, and call up your family and friends about your new online opportunity . But what does that leave you with? Certainly not money in the bank, and probably just a lot of ridicule, a lot fewer friends and less invites to dinner at Uncle John’s.
OK, don’t get discouraged…
Why? Because there are people out there who do succeed at online marketing. If they can, so can you! The only difference between you and them is that they didn’t give up .
If you are faced with unfamiliarity or something you don’t understand, say the meaning of the word or function of ‘keyword ’, give yourself a chance and read up on its definition. If you still don’t understood what it means. Just drop it for a bit, no point in getting frustrated.
In a few days, try looking it up again…
Most likely at this time, you’ll be able to grasp it, or at least learn a bit more about it. Get the idea? As the days passed, and as you repeatedly try to learn the function of a keyword in the search engine, you will start thinking that you aren’t so ‘dumb’ after all. It will all start making sense after all.
OK, since you have spent time looking up the defination and meaning for ‘keyword’, why stop there? Remember you are not dumb ? Keep plodding along and find out what a search engine is and what it does for you.
Then, find out what a blog is, etc. etc etc. Before you know it, you will find out that investing your time learning what all this stuff is will get you somewhere. You’ll know where to go and who can help to make you successful online .
Internet marketing or selling through marketing by using the internet, is not as straightforward as direct selling or selling face to face. There is a lot to learn to get to First Base .
Sometimes First Base does not even pay you one red cent! First Base might be just giving something of value away to prove to people that you’re a nice and knowledgeable person they want to check back with later. It might just be about forming an online friendship with someone so they can get to know and trust you.
A faster way to success online…
A faster way to internet marketing, is to find someone who is an expert. But now there is the problem of finding an internet marketing expert who you can trust. Not being careful might cost you thousands of dollars.
So how do you find an expert you can trust?
Go with your gut feeling. Check out the blogs and forums. If someone gives you the impression that he or she can help you, ask questions in comments on their blog, email them or call them up.
If he or she tries hard not to let you part with a lot of your money (I do believe that it takes money to make money, but not right up front.), most likely they can be trusted. If they give you information that helps you through your "baby steps", hang tight and see if they continue to help. Make sure that they are actually doing what they are saying they can, that they are walking the walk, not just talking the talk.
If you start learning and making a few dollars, rince and repeat. Do what works, stop what doesn’t.
A trusted friend of mine says "Take action, adjust later." Don’t be afraid of doing something wrong. You can always fix it. The most important thing is to do it now ! Take action . If you don’t, you will never see success online .
So just get out there on the internet. Keep learning about what you don’t know. Hang out with the people who actually help you and those who are doing what you’d like to do. Most important of all… Don’t quit . You could get that one great idea that’ll make you a millioniare tomorrow .
